Veteran Punjabi actor and comedian Jaswinder Bhalla has passed away at the age of 65. The celebrated artiste, known for his sharp wit and iconic comic timing, breathed his last on Thursday, leaving behind a rich legacy in Punjabi cinema and theatre.

Bhalla, who entertained audiences for over three decades, became a household name with films such as Carry On Jatta, Jatt and Juliet, Power Cut and numerous stage performances. His brand of humour, often rooted in satire and social commentary, made him one of the most admired comedians in North India.
The news of his demise triggered an outpouring of grief from the film industry and his fans. Actor Akshay Kumar took to social media to express his condolences. “Deeply saddened to hear about the demise of Jaswinder Bhalla ji. A true legend of Punjabi comedy, tusi bahut yaad aoge.
